Ingredients

  • 4

    large eggs

  • 1

    cup milk

  • 1

    cup vegetable oil

  • 4

    teaspoons anise extract

  • 1 1/2

    cups granulated sugar

  • 5

    cups flour

  • 5

    teaspoons baking powder

  • Anise Icing

Directions

Combine the eggs, the 1 cup milk, vegetable oil and the 4 teaspoons anise extract in a bowl and mix well. Mix in the sugar. Add a mixture of the flour and baking powder gradually; dough will be stiff and sticky. Shape into 1 inch balls with floured hands. Arrange on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until bottom is light golden color; top of cookie will remain white. Cool. Dip in anise Icing and let harden on waxed paper.
