Ingredients
- 2 lbs Ground Beef. (80% or better)
- 1 qt Tomato Juice. (I substitute with Crushed Tomatoes)
- 1 (29oz) can Tomato Puree
- 1 (15oz) can Red Kidney Beans - DRAINED. (More if you like it thicker)
- 1 (15oz) can Pinto Beans - DRAINED
- 1 Med-Large Onion, chopped. (abt 1/2 Cup)
- 1/2 cup diced Celery
- 1/4 cup diced Green Bell Pepper
- 1/4 cup Chili Powder (more or less to taste)
- 1 tsp Ground Cumin (use more for real flavor)
- 1-1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano
- 3 tsp Sugar
- 1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper

Step 1
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain off the fat. Put the beef and all the remaining ingredients in a 6 qt pot. Cover and let simmer for 1 to 1-1/2 hours. If you use a slow cooker, cook on low for 3 to 4 hours.
