Barefoot Contessa's Oven Roasted Bacon

Reviewer’s comments: Some sprinkled bacon with brown sugar or ground pepper. Others used foil instead of parchment and put bacon in cold oven. Some used a rack and others thought it wasn’t necessary.

Ingredients

  • 8 -10 slices center cut apple-smoked bacon
  • black pepper (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place a sheet of parchment paper on a sheet pan.
Lay the bacon on top of the parchment paper.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the bacon is really crispy.
Drain on paper towels and serve.
