FIg Cherry shortcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped figs;
  • 3/4 cup pitted, halved fresh cherries;
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil;
  • 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. orange liqueur.
  • 1 cup sour cream,
  • 3 Tbsp. light brown sugar,
  • 2 Tbsp. heavy cream.

Preparation

Step 1

Stir together 1 1/2 cups chopped figs; 3/4 cup pitted, halved fresh cherries; 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil; 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar; and 2 Tbsp. orange liqueur.

Let stand 30 minutes.

Stir together 1 cup sour cream, 3 Tbsp. light brown sugar, and 2 Tbsp. heavy cream.

Fill 6 warm biscuits with fig and cream mixtures.
