1 tsp butter
1/4 unsweetened apple juice or cider
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2/3 cup fat free vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
1 tbs chopped walnuts, toasted

  • 2 small apples or 1 large apple
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened apple juice or cider
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/3 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup fat free sugar free vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
  • 1 tbs, chopped walnuts, toasted

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cut apples into quarters; remove cores and cut into 1/2 in thick slices.

2. Melt butter in lrg non-stick skillet over med heat. Add apples; cook 4 min. stirring occasionally.

3. Combine apple juice, brown sugar substitute and cinnamon; pour over apples. Simmer 5 min or until apples are tender and sauce thickens. Transfer to serving bowls, serve with ice cream, if desired, and sprinkle with walnuts.
