Gravy for Thanksgiving - Janice

Ingredients

  • 6 T flour
  • 6 T butter
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/16 tsp pepper
  • 1 jar Heinz turkey gravy

Preparation

Step 1

In medium saucepan, melt margarine and whisk in flour. Cook until flour is incorporated, about 2 minutes. Gradually add broth, whisking constantly, until thickened, and mixture boils. Remove from heat, and add salt, pepper, and jar of gravy. Refrigerate 3-4 days ahead of Thanksgiving, or you can freeze until needed. Reheat before serving.
