Chocolate Cream Cheese Bars

Ingredients

• 1 chocolate cake mix
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.

In a bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs and butter until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Press two thirds of the dough evenly into a greased 8x8 inch pan.

In a separate bowl, mix together cream cheese, sugar, and egg until fairly smooth. Spread cream cheese mix over the dough layer. Lay long flat sections of remaining dough evenly over the top trying to cover as much as possible. Bake 35 min. Allow to cool completely. Refrigerate 2 hours before serving.
