  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 teasp Salt
  • 1 teasp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teasp Nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg, beaten
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Nuts, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease 9 inch round cake pan.
2. In a small bowl, melt 3 Tablespoons of butter. Set aside.
3. In second small bowl, mix Brown sugar and 1 teaspoon Cinnamon. Set aside.
4. Chop nuts on cutting board; sprinkle about a tablespoon of chopped nuts into bottom of greased pan; set aside.
5. In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. In large fluid measuring cup combine oil, milk and egg. Add fluids to dry ingredients and mix until all flour is damp (do not over mix).
6. Dip a tablespoon size of dough into melted butter, then roll in brown sugar mixture; then coat with nuts and arrange in cake pan. Continue until all dough has been used. Pour any leftover butter, sugar or nuts over top of nut balls in pan, then place pan in oven and cook for about 20 minutes until brown and springs back when lightly touched.
