Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 4 cups fresh peaches (peeled and sliced)
- 3/4 cup sugar (sweeten the mixture to your taste)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Large pinch (about 1/2 tablespoon) freshly grated
- lemon zest---(mine came out of a jar!)
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice---(I used Meyers brand
- from the fridge)
- (I forgot to put these next 2 ingredients in:)
- 1 tablespoon butter, cut in bits
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven the oven to 375 degrees ( I think I used 350).
Put all of the ingredients in a saucepan and mix. Bring to a gentile boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Pour mixture into bottom pie crust(s). Cover pie(s) with remaining crust(s). (Be fancy---cut top crust in strips and basket weave it over pie.) Brush top crust with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar. Place the pie on a baking sheet. Bake for 40-50 minutes, until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbling. Cool at least 30 minutes before slicing.
