Ingredients
- 3 EGGS
- 2/3 CUP SUGAR
- 1/4 TEASPOON SALT
- 1/4 TEASPOON NUTMEG
- 1 TEASPOON VANILLA
- 2 1/2 CUPS SCALDED MILK
- PRE-MADE 9 INCH SINGLE PIE CRUST
Preparation
Step 1
IN A LARGE BOWL BEAT EGGS.
ADD SUGAR AND BEAT.
STIR IN SALT AND VANILLA.
BLEND IN HOT MILK.
POUR INTO PASTRY LINED PIE PAN
SPRINKLE NUTMEG ON TOP
BAKE AT 400 DEGREES FOR 25 TO 30 MINUTES UNTIL KNIFE INSERTED IN MIDDLE COMES OUT CLEAN
TO MAKE SCALDED MILK:
BRING MILK TO JUST BELOW BOILING. TINY BUBBLES WILL APPEAR AT EDGE OF PAN.
