Ingredients
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 TBSP. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter, melted
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease 9x9x2" square baking pan.
Stir together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in medium-size bowl. Stir in milk and melted butter just until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated 425 degree oven 20-25 minutes until center springs back when lightly touched. Cool.
