Ingredients
- 1/2 cup oleo
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 2/3 cups flour
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon peel
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup nuts
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar

Step 1
Grease bottoms and half way up sides of two 7 1/2 x 3 inch loaf pans.
Beat oleo until soft. Add sugar and beat five minutes. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add dry ingredients and buttermilk. Stir in nuts.
Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes. Glaze with lemon juice and sugar.
