    cup butter at room temperature

  • 1

    cup (8oz) cream cheese at room temperature

  • 2

    cups sifted flour

  • 1/4

    Tsp salt

  • Favorite Jams or Preserves

  • Powdered Sugar

Directions

Heat oven to 350°. Sift Flour and salt together and place in separate bowl. Cream butter and cream cheese together until light and fluffy. Blend in flour mixture until well mixed. Knead dough slightly but try not to warm too much with hands. Roll sections of dough on surface covered with mixture of half flour and half powdered sugar to ⅛" thickness. Use biscuit cutter to cut approximately 2' diameter circles. place approximately ¼ tsp of your favorite preserves or jam into center of circle. Fold in half and pinch edges together with fingers or fork similar to an empanada. Bake for 10–13 minutes until slightly golden on top or just golden on bottom of cookie. remove from oven and dust lightly with powdered sugar
