Pork seems to absorb the marinade better than any other meat. Beef would probably work, but chicken really doesn't soak it up.

If you partially freeze the meat it will be easier to slice - you want it slice it as thin as possible - almost like bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c white vinegar
  • 1/4 c soy sauce
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic - crushed
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 1/2 t Cayenne pepper
  • 2 t salt

Step 1

Marinate for at least one hour, I've let it marinate as long as 2 days. Soak the Bamboo skewers in water to keep them from burning on the grill. You can use the broiler, but I find the grill gives the most flavor.
