Hash Brown Casserole


This make a great covered dish to take parties.

  • 1-32 oz pkg of thawed country style hash browns (cube style)
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 c. grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken soup
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 2 c. cornflakes (can be crushed or left whole)


Preparation time 15mins
Cooking time 75mins


Step 1

Mix ingredients, using only 1/4 c. of melted butter, in large bowl. Place in a buttered 9 x 13 casserole dish. Top with cornflakes that have been mixed with the remaining 1/4 c. melted butter. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
