  • 1

Ingredients

  • For the Chimichurri Sauce:
  • 1 flank steak or skirt steak, about 1.5 pounds
  • FOR THE FLANK STEAK MARINADE
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • Dash of Worcestershire
  • Juice from 2 limes
  • 1 cup red wine vinegar
  • Splash of red wine
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cracked black pepper
  • Water as needed
  • 1 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • Juice from 1 lime
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire, lime juice. Vinegar, wine, garlic and olive oil. Mix well.

Set the steak into a wide, flat dish and cover with the marinade. Add enough water to ensure entire steak is submerged.

Heat a grill to medium heat. Grill the steak 4-6 minutes per side, depending on your desired doneness. I did 5 minutes each side and it was perfect.

Remove from heat and rest it for 5 minutes.

For the Chimichurri Sauce:

This is so difficult - are you ready? Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend until combined. Add a bit more oil if you'd like. Salt and pepper and serve!
