Do Ahead Caramel Rolls
You can add some chopped apple before folding.
- 2 cups Bisquick® baking mix
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup butter or margarine
- 1/3 cup pecan halves
MIX baking mix and water until soft dough forms; beat vigorously 20 strokes. Gently smooth dough into ball on cloth covered board generously floured with baking mix. Knead 5 times. Roll dough into rectangle, 15x9 inches. Spread rectangle with 2 tablespoons margarine. Mix 1/4 cup brown sugar and the cinnamon; sprinkle over rectangle. Roll up tightly, beginning at 15 inch side. Pinch edge of dough into roll to seal well. Wrap securely in plastic wrap and refrigerate up to 24 hours.
TO make heat oven to 425. Place 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup butter and the pecans in round pan 9 inches. heat in oven just until butter and brown sugar are melted about 3 minutes. Cut roll into 12 equal slices and place cut side down in the pan. Bake until golden brown about 15 minutes. Immediately invert on heatproof serving plate and let pan remain for a few minutes before removing.
