Ingredients

  • BURGERS:
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp creamy cucumber salad dressing
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp dried marjoram leaves
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • BREAD AND TOPPINGS:
  • 6 lettuce leaves
  • 6 tbsp guacamole
  • 6 tomato slices
  • 12 thin cucumber slices
  • 3 slices round sourdough bread, halved, toasted
  • 6 tbsp cream cucumber salad dressing, if desired
  • 6 tbsp alfalfa sprouts

GRILL DIRECTIONS: Heat grill. In medium bowl, combine all burger ingredients; mix well. Shape mixture into six 4-inch patties.

When ready to grill, place patties on gas grill over medium-high heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium-high coals. Cook 10 to 15 minutes or until no longer pink in center, turning once.

Layer lettuce, guacamole, tomato and cucumber on toasted bread slices. Top with burgers. Spoon 1 tablespoon dressing over each; top with alfalfa sprouts.

BROILER DIRECTIONS: Prepare patties as directed above. Place patties on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until no longer pink in center, turning once. Continue as directed above.
