Ingredients

  • Cake:
  • 5 oz Baking Chocolate
  • 3/4 C Butter, Cubed
  • 1 1/2 C Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 1/2 C Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 C Water
  • Strawberries
  • 4 C Strawberries (or 2 large packages)
  • 2 TBS Sugar
  • 1 Tbs Vanilla
  • Cream
  • 2 pints Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • Glaze
  • 3-4 oz Baking Chocolate
  • 2 TBS Butter
  • 1 C Powdered Sugar
  • 3 TBS Water
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • Milk to thin

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare 2-3 pans

In a microwave melt chocolate and butter, stirring until smooth. Cool. Transfer to a large bowl. Beat in sugar, add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in Vanilla.

In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking sold. Gradually add flour mixture alternately with water, beating well after each addition. End with flour mixture. Bake about 30 minutes. Cool completely.

Slice strawberries thin stir in sugar and vanilla. Set aside.

Whip Cream until fluffy, add sugar and vanilla, Blend well.

Glaze (Last thing) Melt chocolate and butter in microwave and stir until smooth. Stir in Powdered Sugar, water and vanilla until smooth. (This will thicken!) You can make it thicker with powdered sugar, thin with milk.

Cake, Cream, Strawberries, Drizzle Glaze ...
