Ingredients
- fifth of Everclear (if you cant get Everclear high proof vodka can work too)
- 1 cup Captain Morgan spiced Rum (2 cups tastes pretty good too)
- 1 gallon Apple Cider
- 1 quart apple juice
- 3 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 10 cinnamon sticks
- 1 large stock pot
- 6 or 10 quart mason jars
Preparation
Step 1
combine the cinnamon sticks, apple cider and apple juice in the stock pot. bring to a mild simmer then add sugars.
continue to stir slowly for about 5 minutes, until all the sugar is dissolved. at that point turn the heat off and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. if you add the alcohol to soon the higher temperature will evaporate some of the alcohol content. once the mixture is at room temperature add the fifth of everclear and 1 or 2 cups of spiced rum. you are now ready to jar the Apple Pie Moonshine. with a cinnamon stick from stock pot in each jar
