Oven Barbecue Spareribs

These are the easiest and tastiest ribs I've had in a long time.

Ingredients
- 3 pounds spareribs
- 1 each lemon, sliced with peel
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 cups water
- 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Step 1
PLACE RIBS, fat side up, in a shallow roasting pan. Put a thin slice each of lemon and onion on each piece of spare rib.
ROAST in very hot oven (450) for 1/2 hour.
COMBINE remaining ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and pour over the ribs.
REDUCE heat to 350 and roast until tender, about 45-60 minutes. Baste ribs every 15 minutes with the sauce in pan, adding a little more water if needed.
