Chocolate Chip Pie

~ This recipe is called Chocolate Chip Butterscotch Pie which has a butterscotch sauce topping. I found it’s too sweet, so I don’t make it. No one in my family liked it. Therefore, we call it Chocolate Chip Pie! This is one of Dalton’s favorites!

Ingredients
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 (6 oz) pre-made chocolate cookie or graham cracker pie crust
Preparation
Step 1
Using a stand mixer, add the mascarpone cheese & the heavy cream to the bowl. Mix on low until combined. Add the sugar, vanilla, & salt. Beat on #4 for at least 5 minutes or until soft peaks form. Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the filling into the crust, smoothing out the pie surface. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or freeze for 1 hour.
