Ingredients

    cup water

  • 1

    cup flour

  • 1/2

    cup white Crisco

  • 4

    eggs

  • 1/2

    tsp baking powder

  • Cream Filling

  • 2/3

    cup sugar

  • 1/3

    cup flour

  • 2

    eggs-beaten

  • 2

    cups milk (scalded)

  • 1

    tsp vanilla

Directions

Boil water and add Crisco. Lower heat to low and add flour and baking powder. Stir until flour absorbs water. Let cool until room temperature. Add 1 egg at a time. Drop by tsp onto litely greased cookie sheet (small). Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Cream Filling Combine dry ingrediants. Add beaten eggs. Fill bottom of double boiler with water and heat until boils. Add milk to top pot and put over boiling water on low flame. Keep stirring until milk starts to foam thick. Pour other ingrediants into scalded milk and cook in double boiler stirring until thick
