Ingredients
- 2 pounds chuck or round steak, sliced 1/8" thick, then tenderized
- 1 cup King Arthur flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup beef stock
- 3-6 tablespoons olive oil
Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour, salt and pepper. Place in shallow pan or plate for dredging.
Beat egg with the 1/2 cup milk.
Pound steaks to tenderize.Dip steak in egg mixture and then flour mixture to coat completely.
In a large skillet over medium high heat,add the olive oil. Place the steaks, two to three at a time in the pan. Cook steaks until done, about 2 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
To Make Gravy:
Mix some of the seasoned flour in a pan with the skillet pan juices. Add beef stock and or flour to get gravy to desired thickness. Pour over steaks and serve immediately.
