Ingredients
- 2 cups balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tsp honey or maple syrup
- Optional Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Step 1
Use a small saucepan over high heat, bring vinegar to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook until thick and syrupy, about 12 minutes. Glaze will continue to thicken as it cools.
Remove from heat, add honey or maple syrup, if desired. Season with salt and pepper to taste if desired. Set aside to cool.
Store refrigerated in an airtight container up to 1 week.
Makes 1 cup with honey.
