Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 CUPS SIFTED FLOUR
  • 3 TABLESPOONS COCOA
  • 1 TEASPOON SODA
  • 1 CUP SUGAR
  • 5 TABLESPOONS COOKING OIL
  • 1 TABLESPOON VINEGAR
  • 1 TEASPOON VANILLA
  • 1 CUP COLD WATER

Preparation

Step 1

POUR SIFTED FLOUR BACK IN SIFTER, ADD TO IT:
COCOA, SUGAR AND SALT. SIFT THIS INTO GREASED SQUARE CAKE PAN 9X9X2.
MAKE THREE GROOVES IN DRY MIXTURE. INTO ONE POUR OIL, INTO NEXT VINEGAR AND INTO LAST, VANILLA. POUR COLD WATER OVER IT ALL. BEAT IT WITH A SPOON UNTIL NEARLY SMOOTH AND YOU CAN'T SEE ANY FLOUR.
BACK 350 DEGREES FOR 1/2 HOUR
