Sweet and Sour Cole Slaw

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, unsalted
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 pounds cole slaw mix

Preparation

Step 1

1. In medium sauce pan melt butter over medium heat.
2. Add vinegar, sugar, flour, mustard, gralic powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
3. Slowly whisk in egg. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened, whisking constantly. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
4. In large bowl combine cole slaw mix and th vineggar mixture. Toss until well coated. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
