Ingredients
- CRUMBS:
- 4 CUPS FLOUR
- 2 CUPS SUGAR
- 1 TEASPOON SALT
- 1 CUP SHORTENING
- MIX TOGETHER AND SAVE 1 CUP CRUMBS FOR TOP.
- CAKE:
- 2 CUPS HOT WATER - ALMOST BOILING
- 1 TABLESPOON SODA
- 1 CUP BAKING MOLASSES
Preparation
Step 1
STIR HOT WATER, SODA AND MOLASSES IN BOWL. ADD CRUMBS AND MIX. PUT IN CAKE PAN AND SPRINKLE THE REMAINING CUP OF CRUMBS ON THE TOP.
BAKE AT 350 DEGREES UNTIL DONE.
