Salt River Bars

Ingredients

  • Frosting:
  • 72-80 Club crackers
  • 1 C. Butter
  • 2 C. Graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 C. Packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 C. Milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 C. Milk chocolate chips
  • 1 C. Butterscotch chips
  • 1/3 C. Peanut butter

Preparation

Step 1

Line 8x8 pan with parchment paper (or 8x10 pan). Place one layer of crackers down. In a medium pan, bring butter, cracker crumbs, brown sugar and milk to a boil. Boil for 7 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour half of the caramel mixture over the crackers. Add another layer of crackers. Pour remaining Caramel mixtures we the top. Add another layer of crackers. Make frosting. Pour all ingredients into a sauce pan. Stir over low heat continuously until melted through and creamy. Pour over top cracker layer. Chill for several hours.
