Ingredients
- Crumbs:
- 1 c flour
- 3/4 c brown sugar
- 1 1/2 T margarine
- Liquid:
- 1 c molasses
- 1 c hot water
- 1 t soda
- 1 beaten egg

Preparation
Step 1
Mix molasses, ¾ water and egg. Dissolve soda with remaining water. Set aside ½ c crumbs to put on top. Add remaining crumbs to molasses mixture and soda. Pour into a 9” pie shell and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Sprinkle reserved ½ c crumbs on top and bake 30 minutes more or until pie rises nicely in center.
