ANGEL CAKE

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup of flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 12 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon tarter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1. Sift together 3 times, flour, cornstarch and half of the sugar.
2. Place egg whites in bowl, and sprinkle with salt and tartar.
3. Whip these until firm and gradually the rest of the sugar and vanilla.
4. Slowly add flour (2 tablespoons at a time).
5. Pour in a tube pan non-greased.
6. Place in a 375 oven for 25-30 minutes.
7. Return on a bottle and cool.
