Meat Loaf

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 large onion, in a fine dice
  • 1 large sweet red pepper, in a fine dice
  • 2 tbs prepared horseradish
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 4 tbs worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Pour beaten eggs into a very large mixing bowl. Lightly mix/fold in meat, followed by breadcrumbs, onion, and red pepper. Add remaining ingredients and again fold them in gently but well.

Form into an oval loaf or pack into 9"x5"x3" loaf pan. Bake, uncovered, for 50 - 55 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
