MOLASSE CANDIES

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 cups of molasses
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of corn syrup
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of butter

Preparation

Step 1

1. Stir together sugar, molasses, brown sugar, corn syrup and water.
2. When sugar is dissolved, cook until forms a ball in cold water.
3. Take out of the burner and add butter.
4. When cold, stretch the candy and cut and place either in waxed paper or in a greased pan.
