Ingredients
- 2-1/4 cups milk
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 4 tbls cornstarch
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tbls butter or margarine
- 1 cup raisins (seedless)
- 1 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Scald 2 cups milk in heavy pan.
Slightly beat egg yolks
Mix in mixing bowl:
sugar
cornstarch
moisten with 1/4 cup of milk
egg yokes
blend thoroughly
Pour mixture into hot milk stiring and cooking over medium heat until thick and smooth.
Add butter and raisins; beat well.
remove from heat; add vanilla extract.
Place filling into pie shell and spread with merangue.
Place in 375 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until Merangue is golden brown.
