Appetizer ( Grand Prize) Jalapenos

Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 12 ounce package med spicy saussage
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 4 portabella mushrooms
  • 12 bacon strips halved
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • SmokedSwiss cheese cut in thin strips to fit jalapenos

Preparation

Step 1

Wash peppers, remove stems. Cut a slit in each jalapeno and remove seeds. Rinse and pat dry. Set aside.

Cook sausage, onion and mushroom in skillet and drain well. Stuff sausage in each pepper following with a dash of (hot sauce in each one Optional). Put thin strip of smoked swiss cheese in each one! Wrap 1/2 piece of bacon around each pepper and secure with a toothpick. Grill 8 inches from heat until bacon is crisp. Turn pepper throughout cooking to avoid burning.
