French Toast Waffle

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tea. vanilla
  • 1 tea. cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 Brioche loaf, cut into 1" slices
  • powdered sugar, jelly, whipped cream, fruit and/or syrup

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat waffle iron.

Beat the eggs,cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Pour the mixture into a large casserole pan and arrange the bread in a single layer in the custard. Soak for 10-15 minutes.

When the iron is ready,spray the top nd bottom with nonstick cooking spray. Cook 1 piece of toast at a time with the iron closed for about 3-4 minutes total, or until waffle is golden brown and crispy.
