Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 8 0z Cream cheese
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 3 C cake flour (sifted)
  • 3 C sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • or
  • 2 tsp lemon extract plus zest

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat 325"

Cream butter and cheese 'til fluffy
Add sugar and beat. Add eggs while beating. Add dry ingredients.
Mix. Add vanilla/lemon

Prepare pan:
Melt butter and paint inside of fluted pan using pastry brush. Sprinkle sugar in pan
and toss to cover all edges and sides

Pour battre into pan

Bake @ 325' for 1hr and 15min.
