Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vinegar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, at room temp
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat the oven to 350 and grease a 10 inch round cake pan.
2. In a medium size bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt with t wire whisk and set aside. In a separate small bowl or cup, stir the vinegar into the milk.
3. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend together the sugar, eggs, begetable oil, 1 cup of water, and the milk mixture. Add the vanilla and blend until completely combined. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until fully combined.
4. Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake for 30 to 40 minures, or until fully baked. Let cool.
