Gerbed Wheat Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup warm light lager beer (110degrees)
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 3/4 cups bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoons minced fresh basil
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh oregano
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

1. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook attachment, combine warm beer and next 3 ingredients. let stand for 10 mintues or until foamy. In a mediumb owl, combine flours and next 3 ingredients. Stir olive oil and flour mixture into yeast mixture.

2. Mix on medium lo9w speed for 6 to8 minutes or until a smooth, elastic dough forms. Spray a large bowl with nonstick cooking spray. Shape dough into a ball, and place in bowl, turning to grease top. Cover and let rise ina warm place, free from drafts, for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

3. Punch dough down; cover and let rest for 10 mintues before using.
