Super Fruity Sangria

By

This Sangria recipe maximizes the fruit content and adds a new twist, using a white wine, instead of the traditional reds. Buckle-up for a fruit-punch like flavor that is perfect for a backyard BBQ or an annual Salsa-Thon!

Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle of your favorite white wine (This recipe is just as delicious with a good red wine, if you so choose)
  • 1 Lemon cut into wedges
  • 1 Orange cut into wedges
  • 1 Lime cut into wedges
  • 1 Peach cut into wedges
  • 1 Cup sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 Cup lemonade or limeade
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 2 shots of apricot, peach or "berry" flavored brandy
  • 2 Cups ginger ale
  • Optional: one can of diced pineapple pieces with juice
  • ART HOP Portion
  • 5 Litres White Wine (1 Box) - I use Crisp White
  • 6 Lemons, halved
  • 6 Oranges, halved
  • 6 Limes, halved
  • 1 bag frozen peaches (optional)
  • 1 bag frozen strawberries (optional)
  • 3 cups Lemonade
  • 3 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Berry flavored Brandy
  • 4 Litres Gingerale

Preparation

Step 1

In large container, dissolve sugar in lemonade and brandy. Add wine. Squeeze the juice from the lemons, oranges and limes trying to keep any seeds out, into the mixture. Add the fruit rinds to the container. Chill overnight. Add frozen fruits (optional) and gingerale just before serving.

For the ART Hop Batch. Put half of the mixture (before adding gingerale) into a separate container. Add 1 Liter of gingerale to each 1/2 batch.
