Ingredients
- 6 cups King Arthur flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 packages dry yeast
- 3/4 cup milk
- 4 large eggs
- 3/4 stick butter
- 1/2 cup hot water
Preparation
Step 1
Heat butter and milk just to boil.
Put in large pan and add sugar, whip to cool, add eggs, mix by hand, add yeast to water (should be just hot ot your finger tip) and mix and add to rest of ingredients in pan. Lastly, add flour. Mix well until dough pulls away from pan and looks light and satiny. Let rise. Knead a little and place in two loaf pans. Let rise one more time. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 40 minutes. Take out and brush butter on loaves.
