Vanilla Butter Frosting

Ingredients

  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 TB whole milk
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix sugar and butter
2. Stir in vanilla and milk until desired texture.
VARIATIONS:
1. Browned butter: heat butter over medium heat
2. Cherry- Stir in 2 TB drained maraschino cherries and 2 drops red food coloring.
3. Lemon- omit vanilla and substitute lemon juice for milk. Stir in 1/2 tsp lemon peel.
4. Orange- Omit vanilla and sub. o.j. for milk. Stir in 1/2 tsp orange peel.
5. Peanut butter- sub PB for regular butter and increase milk to 1/4 cup.
