One-Step Christmas Crab Quiche

Ingredients

  • Pillsbury refrigerated fluted pie crust
  • 1/4 cup finely-chopped Vidalia onion
  • 1/4 cup finely-diced red bell pepper
  • 1 cup chopped blanched drained fresh Swiss chard
  • (or use frozen chopped spinach)
  • 1 cup whole milk or half-and-half
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup diced Swiss cheese
  • 1 package cream cheese - (8 oz) softened, and cut into 1/2" squares
  • 1/2 pound fresh crab meat

Preparation

Step 1

Line pie plate (preferably The Inn at Christmas Farm's signature Deep Dish Christmas Farm Pie Plate) with pie crust.

In a large bowl, whisk thoroughly 3 eggs. Add and mix together all other items listed above, except crab meat. Lastly, stir in gently the crab meat and pour into Christmas Farm Pie Dish.

Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove; dust with Old Bay seasoning and serve at table in 5 minutes.

This recipe yields 8 servings.
