Apple Sausage Stuffing

Easy and delicious Apple and Sausage Stuffing is most often served at Thanksgiving or Christmas but can also be enjoyed with a variety of poultry dishes.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1 1/2 cup chopped granny smith apples
- 12 cups dried bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup butter- melted
- 8 ounces ground pork sausage- browned and drained

Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients except butter and broth. Spoon mixture into a 5 quart crockpot. Cover; cook on low for 4-5 hours, stirring once.
