Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 6 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 x28 ounce can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup of red wine vinegar
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- dash of Worcestershire sauce
- dash of soya sauce
- 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon each of nutmeg, cinnamon, cumin, caraway seed and coriander
Preparation
Step 1
1.Heat olive oil in a large skillet, add onions, and sweat them until they have softened. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer until the mixture reduces by half and thickens.
