Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup corn oil
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. honey mustard
- 3/4 tea. celery seed
- 1/2 tea. salt
- 8 cups thinly sliced cabbage (about 1 lb)
- 1 large green bell pepper, cut into matchstick pieces
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- fresh ground pepper
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, whisk together the vinegar, oil, sugar, mustard, celery seed, and salt. Add the cabbage, green pepper and onion and toss well. Season generously with pepper and toss again.
Serve immediately, for a crunchy slaw. Or let stand, covered, at room temperature, stirring occasionally for 1 hour, for a more tender slaw.
