Overnight Slow Cooker Grits
- Amount of grits for your family. (I make the amount for eight servings)
- Double amount of water suggested in directions.
- Topping suggestions: butter, shredded cheese, splash of half and half (makes it nice and creamy)

Following directions on the package of grits, add amount for your family to slow cooker.
Double the amount of water in directions.
Add salt as directed.
Cover and cook on low at least seven hours.
Check towards the end of cooking to see if you need to add a touch of water.
Regular grits are best for maximum creaminess. However, all I’ve been able to find lately is quick grits. Quick grits cooked on their own, on the stove or in the microwave are a bit grainy, I think. But they turn out nice and smooth with this recipe!
