5 minutes is all it takes to make this great dessert! I've made it more times than I can remember and it's always a hit. Serve with fresh berries (or anything) and you'll be the diva of the kitchen. Can be made ahead also. Perfection!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese, softened (if you can get block Cream Cheese it's better, but store-bought is fine)
  • 1 C. milk (2% or richer)
  • 1 T. fresh Lemon Juice (do not omit)
  • 3/4 C. Sugar
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 C. Heavy Cream

Step 1

Before throwing all (except for cream) of the above in a blender, it helps to cut up cream cheese in pieces if using the block kind. Blend together, transfer to bowl and stir in cream.

Freeze in ice cream maker, and then keep in airtight container. Place in freezer to harden-at least 2 hrs. When ready to serve, allow ice cream to soften 5-10 min. before serving.
Makes about 1 quart.
