Peaches and Cream Cake

My friend, Heather, passed along this recipe to me...I just tried it the other night, and my husband said it was the BEST dessert I had ever made!

Ingredients
- 2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 (3 oz.) box instant vannilla pudding
- 1 (29 oz.) can of peaches and juice from can
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 13x9 inch glass baking dish.
2. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar and 5 tablespoons of the peach juice with an electric mixer for on high till smooth. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, the rest of the peach juice from the can, oil and eggs. With the electric mixer beat for 3 minutes.
4. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish. Arrange the peaches on top of the batter. Add the cream cheese mixture on top of the peaches.
5. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Cake will puff up on the sides with a creamy middle.
