Salsa - Molcajete Salsa (Rick Bayless)

Ingredients

  • Garlic cloves
  • Jalapeno peppers
  • 1 can fire roasted canned diced tomatoes (Muir Glen Organic)
  • 1 med. white onion
  • cilanatro
  • lime juice
  • salt

Preparation

Step 1

Roast whole garlic cloves and jalapenos in saute pan (15 min. until dark brown). Pop garlic skin off. Remove chili stems. Add to food processor and chop fine.

Add 1 can fire roasted tomoates. Pulse to coarse puree. Pour into bowl.

Add hand chopped white onions (rinse onions under cold water before adding)
Add chopped cilantro and lime juice (maybe 1/2 fresh lime)

Salt to taste
